Marissa Harper has been appointed to the Board of the Justin Sheftel Memorial Fund. The mission of the Fund is to celebrate Justin by providing athletic and educational opportunities for underserved youth in the greater Lehigh Valley. The fund does this by raising money and awarding scholarships every year. This year’s events included a Lady’s Night, a Golf Outing and the Annual Memorial Softball Tournament. 2019 was the tournament’s 15th year and proved to be the biggest so far!
Justin Sheftel was tragically killed by a drunk driver while celebrating Senior Week. The scholarship is awarded to honor Justin, his life and to keep his memory alive. The ideal candidate would possess many of the characteristics and qualities that Justin exhibited in his life. In addition to Marissa’s membership on this Board, she also serves on the Ambassadors Council and Women in Business Council of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. She is currently the Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, Zone 2, serves on the Executive Council for the Young Lawyers Division of the PBA and coaches at Girls on the Run Lehigh Valley.
