Thomas Harper’s award winning “Victor’s Justice” has been featured in the Writs, the Bucks County Bar Association’s Publication. The article can be found here.
Tom’s story was a winner of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Legal Fiction contest. The guidelines for the story were that it had to be in some way connected to the law or lawyers and that it be 5,000 words or less. Tom admits that he hadn’t written any fiction since high school English so he was excited his entry was chosen and he won the competition!
“My background as a military attorney and my interest in historical fiction combined to help spark the story,” says Tom. In addition to practicing law at Zator Law, Tom is also a Major in the U.S. Army JAG Corps (Army Reserves). “Having both advised on the law of war in Afghanistan and handled numerous criminal cases, I have seen the moral and ethical tension points portrayed in ‘Victor’s Justice’ play out firsthand”, Tom remarked.
Tom also serves on the Veterans & Military Council Business Initiative of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Workers’ Compensation Committee of the Lehigh County Bar Association.
